Areté Arts Group, LLC is the proud home of Areté Singers and Mistletoe Carolers—a vibrant network of classical, opera, musical theater, and a cappella artists dedicated to outstanding performance, artistic growth, and meaningful service across the greater San Francisco Bay Area.Rooted in the Greek ideal of Areté—the pursuit of excellence—we hold high standards while fostering a true village of support. Our singers range from rising students and dedicated avocational musicians to seasoned professionals who perform with the San Francisco Opera and San Francisco Symphony Choruses, as well as music directors and voice teachers. Many have gone on to build careers in music throughout the United States. We have performed at Carnegie Hall, traveled to the Philippines, and are frequently invited to enhance and support other choruses—proof of the trust and respect our ensemble has earned.
We rehearse in San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Orinda, and Stockton under the guidance of outstanding regional music directors, creating accessible opportunities for artists across the region. Through Areté Singers we present concerts, collaborations, and residencies. Through Mistletoe Carolers we bring polished holiday magic to weddings, life celebrations, corporate events, and community gatherings—always with our signature Caroling for a Cause mission that supports local nonprofits and music education programs.
We also proudly promote Messiah Mania throughout the Bay Area and stand as active members of the American Choral Directors Association and Chorus America.
